Worm Quilt
Inspired by our little garden composters, here is the Worm Quilt! With extra 80's bedspread vibes.
A very light weight quilt as I have used some cotton fabric as the fill - I wanted to try out something a little summery. It's a beauty to hold. The worm has been sewn using hand appliqué.
I naturally dyed hemp and linen to create the soft cream and bright pinks. The plants used were chestnut, cochineal and cutch.
The quilt has been hand quilted and tied using cotton perle thread. The binding is an extra special wave, nodding to the worms wiggly ways. Machine stitched to the front and hand finished on the back.
The outer is linen and hemp, filled with organic cotton cloth.
Measures 120 x 134 cm
Hand wash when needed with a gentle eco laundry liquid and dry flat. Keep out of direct and prolonged sunshine.
