Borders Quilt

£0.00
sold out

The Borders Quilt started at the beginning of 2022, and through the year it slowly came together. Now finished, I'm so pleased I took my time on its composition and colours. It was inspired by a similarly composed patchwork quilt I found in a book called 'Quilts of Illusion', giving the feeling you are being pulled to the centre.

This quilt is reversible - you can choose to have either side facing up on your bed, depending on your mood.

I used a beautiful light linen and silky hemp for the top, bottom and binding. The colours were created with indigo, walnut, alder cones, chestnut, rhubarb root and cutch.

Each quilt is made with love and attention to detail. Hand quilted to compliment the patchwork and colour contrasts on the binding, which has mitred corners for a beautiful finish.

  • The batting is 100% organic wool, making for a lovely, squishy weight and feel.

  • Measures 180 x 135cm, which is perfect for a single bed or over the end of a double.

  • Hand wash when needed with a gentle eco laundry liquid and dry flat.

  • Hand dyed and sewn in my home in Bath, UK.
